1) We remember the 5th of November because Guy Fawkes Night commemorates
the discovery of the plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605.
2) The first fireworks were made in
China nearly 2,000 years ago.
3) In Australia they call fireworks
bungers.

We know that lots of Porty High students are after more
information about the new school. Questions like “When will our new school be
built?” and “How long will it take?” are
constantly in our thoughts. So we decided to take some of the questions we
thought should be answered to Mrs MacArthur to see if she could tell us a bit
more.

Halloween also known as All Hallows' Eve, is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. It initiates the triduum of Hallowmas, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed believers.
